‘I don’t intend to, but I shall have words with the Inspector about it in due course. You may hurry along with your mysterious missive. I shall inveigle upon the Vicar for a lift over to the Bartleby House. I have promised the sisters and Mrs Webster a game of bridge, and I shall take Crummy along for the ride. Don’t wait up!’
